Places to visit if you are a student at Northeastern University or Saint Louis University
Student life can get hectic at times. Thus, we need to find something that would give us a break from the everyday hassle. Here are a few things to do if you are a student of:
1. Tour of the Museum of Fine Arts
The MFA houses one of the world’s most comprehensive art collections and is renowned for its Impressionist paintings, Asian and Egyptian collections and early American art. If you are someone with an eye for art, this is perfect. On Thursdays, it is free for everyone and is only nine minutes-walk from Northeastern.
2. Attend a concert at New England Conservatory Jordan Hall
Acoustically amazing Jordan Hall is central to the musical life of New England, with performances by the world’s leading soloists and ensembles interspersed with NEC recitals and concerts. Renowned guests & New England Conservatory students perform in this National Historic Landmark. It is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM — 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM — 6:00 PM.
3. A refreshing walk at the Emerald Necklace
It is an extended walkway starting in Boston Common, making its way to Franklin Park in the southernmost parts of Boston. Once you get south of Huntington Avenue, you will even forget you’re in a city. It is rejuvenating. It is only seven minutes away from Northeastern
- Visit St. Francis Xavier Church
It has been one of the most beautiful buildings on campus for almost 180 years, regularly attracting both students and parishioners from across the city. It’s a popular backdrop for engagement photos and one of the most popular places to get married in St. Louis. It is a seven minutes-walk from the university.
2. An evening at The Gateway Arch
St. Louis’ best-known landmark, the Gateway Arch, is just east of university and is a bonus in any campus beauty shot. Visit during sunset for the talked-about scenic beauty.
3. Explore historic Samuel Cupples House and Gallery
Often compared to Hogwarts Castle, Cupples House is home to McNamee Gallery for student art. The interior is aesthetically beautiful and admission is free. It is open on Tuesday — Saturday from 11:00 AM — 4:00 PM
