Project Based Learning (PBL) is one of the most efficient learning methods. It is a way to learn skills that one needs to solve real world challenges. Project Based Learning is significantly different from traditional learning. It engages learners in deep studies as well as makes learning fun. It motivates them to spend more time on their learning. Additionally, PBL helps learners to improve communication skills and teamwork. Also, projects offer resources that help them investigate and develop content. PBL gifts experiences to learners.

How Project Based Learning works?

On projects, the learners work in groups catering to challenging issues. They identify the actual problem, gather information from different sources, and synthesise that. Further, they analyse the synthesised information and derive conclusions from that. Moreover, the entire process of working on a project involves several stages and elements. Nevertheless, working on each segment separately invites diversified knowledge. Learners tend to investigate and discuss their ideas, and counter the ideas of others. It widens the area of study and knowledge of students.

Perks of Project Based Learning

In traditional learning pattern, learners generally get bored. Teachers face problem to engage them in class and lectures. Also, sometimes the subject matter is difficult for learners to understand by book reading. In the PBL method, students learn by doing. Teachers may help the learners by giving them a range of topics for the project and guide them. They may choose their topics and decide their approach towards the project. Thus, working on projects gives a chance to the learners to visualise and analyse the problems that people face in the real world. Researches on the outcome of PBL show that the learning outcomes of PBL are far better than the traditional method.

One of the best merits of the PBL method is that it provides meaningful knowledge. Everything that is served in books or on the internet may not serve the purpose of the learner. Project Based Learning enables them to extract knowledge that is purposively meaningful to them. Therefore, Project Based Learning satisfies the requirements of the learners in such a manner that the learning process becomes more fruitful and engaging.
